Patient Responsibilities

  • Provide complete and accurate information about identity and medical condition including history of illness.
  • Provide information as to whom you would want to make decisions about your care and treatment, in the event that you are unable to make rational decisions or speak for yourself
  • Provide the correct contact information of next-of-kin, family members or contact persons
  • Follow the treatment plan that the doctor and his/her team has developed for the patient, to help him to recover and not take any medication without the knowledge of the doctor and healthcare professionals
  • Stick to appointments scheduled. You should inform the hospital if an appointment cannot be kept
  • Respect the rights of other patients as well as hospital employees
  • Respect that admitted patient and patients requiring emergency care take priority for your doctor
  • Follow the Hospital’s rules and regulations
  • Provide the necessary information to help your insurance company pay your bills
  • Pay your hospital bills on time
  • Not to indulge any activity which may lead to damage or loss of hospital property, physically or mentally hurt any healthcare individuals providing services.
